In October, drivers will face road ban changes due to public holidays and various local restrictions. In this article, we provide a list of the dates on which traffic restrictions for trucks will be in effect across Europe in October.
On all weekdays (October 1, 5–9, 12–16, 19–23, and 26–30)
Road bans will be in effect in Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. They will be in effect from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
On October 2, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Austria and Italy from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and in Luxembourg from 11:30 p.m. to midnight.
On October 22, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Hungary from 10 p.m. to midnight and on October 23 from midnight to 10 p.m.
On October 26, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Austria throughout the whole day and in Italy from midnight to 10 p.m.
On October 27, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Greece from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On October 28, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in the Czech Republic from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and in Greece from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On October 30, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Croatia from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
On Saturdays (October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31)
Road bans will be in effect in the following countries:
In Austria from midnight to 5 and from 3 to midnight (on October 3 – throughout the whole day).
In Liechtenstein and Switzerland from midnight to 5 a.m. and from 10 p.m. to midnight.
In Luxembourg, from 9:30 p.m. to midnight for vehicles heading toward France, and from 11:30 p.m. to midnight for vehicles heading toward Germany.
In France and Hungary, from 10 p.m. to midnight.
In Italy, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (except on October 10 and 31).
On October 31, additional traffic restrictions will be in effect in Poland from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
On Sundays (October 4, 11, 18, and 25)
Road bans will be in effect in the following countries:
In Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland, throughout the whole day.
In France, Hungary, and Germany from midnight to 10 p.m.
In the Czech Republic from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
In Italy from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Slovenia from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Slovakia, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In Luxembourg, from midnight to 9:45 p.m.
