“Volvo FH Aero” wins the “Green Truck 2025” Award

The "Volvo FH Aero" truck has received the "Green Truck 2025" award this year. The award is given annually to trucks that are the most fuel-efficient and can cover the longest distances.

In selecting the winner, 32-ton three-axle trucks with high cabins, new tires, and engine power of around 390 horsepower are compared. The trucks travel a 343 km route in southern Germany, which consists of highways and country roads.

The "Green Truck 2025" award was won by the diesel-powered "Volvo FH Aero," which belongs to the EURO 6 emissions class. Instead of traditional side mirrors, this truck uses a unique Camera Monitor System. The aerodynamic "Volvo FH Aero" cabin silhouette and the camera system reduce the CO2 footprint and help save energy.

The "Volvo FH Aero" can also be powered by electricity. The electric model has an engine power ranging from 330 to 490 kW (450 to 666 horsepower) and can travel up to 300 km. When using continuous current, the truck fully charges in 2.5 hours.

The Camera Monitor System in all "Volvo FH Aero" models not only improves visibility during precipitation but also provides an infrared mode, which enhances visibility at night. This truck is also special due to its modern "I-Shift" 12-speed gearbox, which includes an automatic gear-shifting system. Each truck can be customized according to individual needs, with options for three different cabin sizes and various levels of interior and exterior finishes.
