Sweden is changing its road toll system

Starting from March 25th, 2025, Sweden will be implementing a new toll collection system. Vehicles weighing more than 12t will be split into 5 categories depending on their CO2 emission levels. The value of the tariffs will depend on the vehicle’s CO2 class, EURO category and the number of axles.

Drivers and haulers will be able to choose between an annual, monthly, weekly, and daily plan option. Vehicles that use fuel more efficiently and are more environmentally friendly will benefit from lower toll rates. The table shown below displays the new tariff rates for different trucks:
